Description

The cocoa pod holds many childhood memories for me. From feasting on its fruit to dancing cocoa with my grandfather to watch with anticipation as my grandmother ground the beans to make cocoa tea.

As a potter I now get to transform those memories into little cups holding 6 oz of liquid, to be cradled in the palm and used to create your own, new memories.

They are wheel thrown and altered using a cocoa pod and a mould made from the pod. coloured  to mimic the cocoa pod, using underglazes and terra sigilata then soda fired to cone 10. Enjoy!
